The app solves issues related to time keeping using bundy clocks.
Time cards have to be encoded first before time processing can be done.
The encoding process takes time, and is error prone, especially when a company has upwards of 100 employees.Mila is an app developed in house that makes use of NFC to record employee time in, and out.
Each employee is assigned an NFC card that contains ID, name, agency, and department information.
When the card is tapped onto the NFC enabled phone, a time record is written to a CSV file.
This CSV file can then be downloaded from the phone, or uploaded to the cloud for payroll processing.
No manual encoding needed.
Currently, the app is being used in house.
The phone's custodian is the security guard, who makes sure employees tap their cards before entering, or leaving the company premises.
Everyday, the CSV file is uploaded to the cloud, and retrieved by a staff, who uses a spreadsheet macro to generate payroll data.
